PROJECT : REPAIR OF UNIT 8 COOLING TOWER STRUCTURE

SCOPE OF WORK COMPLETED:

  • Repaired the damaged distribution valve near CTF 8B cubicle (East side), including lapping of discs, leakage repair, and installation of discs and stem.
  • Repaired leakage on the distribution valve platform (CTF 8B), with lamination applied where necessary.
  • De-clogged and cleaned the clogged hot basin flower nozzles, and replaced missing nozzles (nozzles were supplied by APRI).
  • Tightened bolts on cooling tower structures.
  • Inspected and replaced missing splash bars (materials supplied by APRI).
  • Applied Vulcaseal sealant to the corners of hot basin flooring.
  • Inspected and replaced damaged transverse and longitudinal supports (2" x 6"), with FRP material provided by the end user.
  • Replaced/ repaired damaged louvers and sidings (manlift provided by the end user).
  • Inspected and installed missing drift eliminators on both the East and West sides of the cooling tower.
  • Replaced/ repaired dilapidated or damaged hot basin flooring with FRP materials (FRP materials were supplied by APRI).
